The Nobel Peace Prize for Article 9 of the Japanese Constitution (憲法9条にノーベル平和賞を) is a social movement whose aim is to push for the Nobel Peace Prize to be awarded to the citizens of Japan for maintaining the post-war Constitution of Japan, especially Article 9 in particular. ==History of movement==
The Executive Committee received endorsements from influential individuals in Japan, and gathered signatures from ordinary people across the world using the Internet.

On May 22, 2014, Hiroyuki Konishi, Yoshiko Kira and other Members of the Parliament (Diet) of Japan, announced that they had submitted the document which pushed for the Nobel Peace Prize to be awarded to the citizens of Japan. This was submitted via the Embassy of Norway in Japan.
The 60 Diet lawmakers came from 7 ruling parties, as well as opposition parties, indicating its cross-bench appeal.〔「憲法9条にノーベル平和賞を」『時事ドットコム』5th May 2014. 〕
On February 21, 2015, the Executive Committee for The Nobel Peace Prize for Article 9 of the Japanese Constitution Kobe announced that they had submitted a similar recommendation to the Nobel Peace Prize Selection Committee.
